Perennials
The gardener, who wants his plants to come back year after year, will be pleased with over 700 species of perennial flowers, ground covers, steppables, and grasses. No matter what your yard conditions are, we can help you find a plant to fill those needs. From Allium to Zebra Grass we have all different colors, and textures of perennials. Our coneflower alone has 15 different cultivars.
Annuals
Over fifteen hundred types and colors, of annual flowers, hanging baskets, and vegetable plants await you. Upon your arrival, a 12,000 square foot, modern greenhouse will greet you. Vegetables that you have never seen elsewhere, along with your basic favorites all await your exploration. We carry over 65 different types of tomato plants. They range from lots small grape size varieties, to many plum shaped, to a large number of firm, medium to large cutting tomatoes, including distinct heirlooms. Our peppers, along with the other vegetable plants, you will also find diverse and often rare.
Trees and Shrubs
Our Ohio State Landscape Horticulturists are available to help you choose the correct landscape plantings for your yard. We can help you design an aesthetic environment, that utilizes trees and shrubs, that are complimentary to one another. Picking the right solutions for the right conditions, will please your landscape eye and taste buds. Ornamental, shade, and fruit trees along with shrubbery and roses boasting a gamut of colors, shapes, and textures will certainly excite you.
Herbs
Herbs for so many uses, be it culinary, medicinal, or sense of smell. From the Mojito mints in your cocktail, to the aloe on your bruises, to stevia instead of sugar, to sweet lavender in the air, HIghland can accommodate. How about a slow to bolt coriander?
House Plants and Tropicals
Outdoor patio lovers have overwhelming choices of flowering summer plants. Hollywood Hibiscus, Gardenias, Jasmine, Duranta, Allamanda, Diplodenia, Mandevilla, Ruella, Bougainvillea, Angel Trumpet, Kangaroo Paws, Powder Puff trees, Citrus oranges, tangerines, lemons, and limes are just a few of the outdoor summer treats. Inside the house, we offer many foilage types including pitcher plants, air plants, bromeliads, cactus up to 3 feet tall, succulents, and bonsai gardens. Lucky Bamboo is also present in many forms from twisted to heart shaped. Many of the tropical foilage types are extremely colorful.
